Marketing Administrative Assistant & Project Coordinator

Monk Development, Inc. (MonkDev) seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant & Project Coordinator to serve our Marketing Department. The administrator would work closely with our CEO and our Marketing Team to assist in communicating, facilitating and executing the Marketing Content Calendar & general to-do’s.  The administrator will assist MonkDev by facilitating results-oriented meetings & executing detailed management for the team to be successful in their efforts as thought leaders.

MonkDev is an industry-leading, innovative web development and software-as-a-service company based in San Diego, CA, and one of the largest web developers and fastest growing private companies in San Diego.  We provide web solutions across all industries, but we are thought leaders in the non-profit space, where thousands of churches, ministries, and other non-profits use our services and technology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage & Assist CEO’s Role in the Company’s Traction Plan by organizing & communicating new ideas & plans to help ensure execution

  • Manage CEO’s Email Account & Schedule (i.e. coordinate sync ups w/ team members, assist with business travels plans)

  • Facilitate Daily & Weekly Meetings for Marketing Team managing the flow of communication between members

  • Manage execution in all areas of the Marketing Calendar: Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly Content Planning, Event Logistics (Conferences), KPI, PPC/SEO, Pragmatic Marketing (Market Research), Promotion & Campaign Rollouts

  • Track & Communicate the Marketing Budget

Skills or Preferred Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication – this includes the ability to listen, record, facilitate and communicate verbally and in writing to the team & to a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to pay close attention to details (detail-oriented) in a fast paced ever changing environment

  • Ability to execute multiple tasks at one time.

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to prioritize work independently.

  • Ability to manage projects and maintain accurate and detailed records of communication and progress.

  • Team Player - Eagerness to learn and grow within a team

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel

  • General knowledge of Google Email & Calendars

  • General knowledge with Basecamp is a plus (Can be trained)

  • General knowledge of CMS functions is a plus (Can be trained)


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. College Degree a plus.

  • Prior work-related experience helpful.
